Lights in the Valley – Event & Site Policies

Lights in the Valley is a community-rooted gathering and resource created to support connection, care, and visibility for local healing arts. The following policies exist to help set clear expectations and maintain a respectful, safe, and grounded environment for everyone involved.

  • Participation in Lights in the Valley events, workshops, sessions, and experiences is voluntary. Attendees are responsible for their own physical, emotional, and mental well-being and are encouraged to listen to their bodies and honor their limits.

Offerings at the fair and listed in the Healing Arts Directory are not medical or psychological treatment and are not a substitute for professional healthcare. Practitioners do not diagnose, treat, or cure medical or mental health conditions.

  • All experiences at Lights in the Valley are consent-based.
    You are always welcome to:

    • Ask questions

    • Modify participation

    • Decline touch, interaction, or engagement at any time

Respect for personal boundaries—physical, emotional, and energetic—is expected of all attendees, practitioners, and volunteers.

  • Lights in the Valley is a sober gathering.
Alcohol and recreational substances are not permitted. We ask all attendees to arrive clear, present, and respectful of the shared space.

  • Lights in the Valley is a family-friendly event for children ages 6 and older. This event is intentionally designed as a calm, contemplative space that supports healing work, quiet presence, and focused participation.

All children must be actively supervised by a caregiver or in the community corner at all times. Children under the age of 6 are not permitted to attend.

To maintain the integrity of the space, any child who is disruptive, unable to engage respectfully, or left unattended will be asked to leave the event with their caregiver. This policy applies throughout the fair, including the Community Corner, workshops, and market areas.

Thank you for respecting the healing work, practitioners, and shared intention of the fair.

  • Lights in the Valley is committed to creating an inclusive, respectful environment. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Event organizers reserve the right to ask anyone to leave who does not honor these agreements.

  • General event photography or video may occur for documentation or promotional purposes.

Private sessions, one-on-one experiences, and intimate workshops will not be photographed or recorded without explicit consent from all participants involved.
If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify event staff.

  • The healing arts market is free and open to the public during market hours.

Tickets are required for the Friday night headliner and select workshops.

All ticket sales are final. Tickets may be transferable unless otherwise stated.

Workshop capacity is limited and filled on a first-come basis.

Schedules and facilitators may be subject to minor changes.

  • Practitioners listed in the Lights in the Valley Healing Arts Directory operate independently. Each practitioner is responsible for their own offerings, pricing, scheduling, and professional standards.

Lights in the Valley does not guarantee outcomes, results, or availability and is not responsible for individual practitioner services.

The directory exists as a shared community resource, not a certification or endorsement of any single modality.

  • Lights in the Valley events are held indoors. We aim to make the gathering as accessible as possible. If you have specific access needs or questions, please reach out in advance and we’ll do our best to support you.
