About Lights in the Valley

Lights in the Valley began as a simple intention: to bring people together.

In the heart of winter, when isolation can feel heavier and community gatherings are fewer, we wanted to create a space where the healers, creatives, and wellness practitioners of the Gunnison Valley could gather under one roof — meet one another, share their work, and offer care to the wider community.

Its purpose has always been connection — between practitioners, between modalities, and between people seeking support and those offering it.

As the gathering took shape, something became clear: while our valley holds an extraordinary depth of healing wisdom, there was no single place to find it. No shared resource where people could easily discover the range of modalities available right here at home.

The Lights in the Valley Healing Arts Directory emerged naturally from that realization.

The directory exists to serve the community beyond the weekend of the fair — as a living, evolving resource that makes local healing offerings visible, accessible, and easy to find. It is not a marketplace or a membership. It is a shared point of connection, rooted in care, integrity, and local presence.

Lights in the Valley is both a gathering and a practice — one that believes healing happens most powerfully when we are in relationship with one another.

About the Founder

Lights in the Valley is stewarded by Paige Stewart, an artist, facilitator, and space-holder whose work lives at the intersection of healing, creativity, and embodiment.

Paige holds a background in psychology and spiritual psychology, which has deeply informed her approach to both her personal healing practice and her artwork. For the past three years, she has been holding a sacred circle at the showroom within her art studio — a consistent gathering space for reflection, ritual, and collective presence.

Her work is grounded in the belief that healing does not happen in isolation, and that art, when created with intention, can become a powerful amplifier for transformation.

This belief is embodied most fully in Re-Wombing, a large-scale experiential art installation that weaves together Paige’s healing practice and sculptural work. Re-Wombing is an immersive environment designed to support nervous system regulation, reconnection to the body, and collective healing — using form, texture, and ritual as entry points.

Across all of her work, Paige is less interested in offering answers than in creating containers — spaces where people can soften, listen, and remember their own inner wisdom.

Lights in the Valley is an extension of that ethos: a space held with care, shaped by community, and rooted in the understanding that healing is both deeply personal and profoundly collective.
